FOSTERING WITH PAUSE4PAWS

​Fostering a pet with Pause4Paws is a fun way to give back to the community without ever leaving your home. When you foster a pet with Pause4Paws, you simply care for the pet as if it were your own, providing food, water, exercise and plenty of TLC.

We provide short-term fostering, meaning that most of our pets are fostered between 5 and 30 days while the owner is in the hospital or treatment center (extensions are considered upon request and are subject to approval by the foster family).

You can even take that vacation or business trip you had planned, as we will place the pet with another foster family while you are gone.

​There is no "foster fail" with Pause4Paws. Once the owner is out of the hospital or treatment center, the pet will go back to its owner.

"Fostering is an amazing experience!  I started doing it to help another pet owner in need, but I found the rewards are more mine in the end.   When you first meet these sweet souls, they are simply a cute dog/cat but something happens…you get to know them.  You get to know their personalities, their quirks, and you fall in love with them.  They show up a cute, funny dog/cat and they leave a friend, a love that you will never forget.  They all have a special place in my heart, and I try and leave them better than I found them…but truth be told, they leave me better than they found me.  I hope you all get to experience this kind of joy.  It’s a heart joy, and it should be shared."
