We recently we received a call from OSU Medical Special Services regarding a gentleman named Milton living in his car with his cat, Romeo, an orange tabby. Milton was out of food and cat litter. He had not been homeless long and was feeling desperate and deeply sad that Romeo was having to adjust to life in a car. We were able to take food and cat litter to Milton and give him information about Feeding the Pets of Tulsa's Homeless so he could continue to provide for Romeo.
A couple of weeks later Milton called. He was having a serious health issue and needed to be admitted to the hospital. We were happy to take Romeo into our foster care program while Milton was in the hospital. Romeo was vaccinated and neutered while he was with us. When Milton was released from the hospital he was joyfully reunited with his "baby" Romeo. The support Milton received from Pause4Paws has "given him courage" through his mental health struggles. To the Pause4Paws staff, volunteers and supporters,
thank you for your part in giving Milton the courage he needs to face his difficulties and move forward. Want to hear more stories like Milton's? Subscribe to our newsletter and be the first to hear all the latest behind the scenes, big wins, events and more.
